PRESS RELEASE posted by Fair Isle Brewing
Apr. 23, 2026 at 1:15pm (EDT)

Fair Isle Brewing will host the inaugural Ferry & Friends Fest, a floating beer festival spotlighting leading producers of farmhouse ales, spontaneous fermentation, and mixed-culture beer. Set aboard the HIYU Ferry cruising the waters of the Puget Sound at sunset, the festival pairs a highly curated brewery lineup with a setting that is as memorable as the beers themselves—lagers on the lake, saisons at sunset.

Bringing together breweries from across the PNW and beyond, Ferry & Friends Fest offers a rare opportunity for Washington drinkers to experience beers that are seldom—if ever—available in the state. The festival will feature a rotating selection of draft pours, including limited and festival-only offerings, with an emphasis on saison and lager shaped by local ingredients, extended fermentation, and expressive house cultures.

Proudly hosting:

Bizarre Brewing, Holy Mountain Brewing, Fox Farm Beer, Funky Fauna Beer, Otherlands Beer, Sante Adairius Rustic Ales, Scratch Beer, and Vorel Wine.

Beyond the glass, Ferry & Friends Fest is designed to foster meaningful connection—between brewers, longtime friends, and the broader beer community. By keeping the format intentionally small and immersive, the festival prioritizes conversation and shared experience, creating space for guests to engage directly with the people behind the beer.

At its core, Ferry & Friends Fest also embraces a more fundamental idea: beer should be fun. With the ferry underway and the sun setting over the water, the experience balances thoughtful, process-driven brewing with a relaxed, social atmosphere—celebrating not just the craft, but the joy of sharing it.

The festival will feature two experiences, general admission and VIP access, designed to maintain a high level of engagement between brewers and attendees. Capacity is intentionally limited.

The Ferry & Friends beer fest on July 24, 2026 sold out in an hour two weeks ago. Tickets for a second sail go on sale today, July 23, 2026—back-to-back days, same concept.
