The Gambrinus Company

Founded in 1986, The Gambrinus Company is a family-owned company with headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. Gambrinus sells and markets craft beers from two independent craft breweries—the historic Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas and the Trumer Brewery in Berkeley, California. Both breweries produce some of the most respected, awarded, and loved craft beers in the world.\n\nWith a strong belief in its motto “Beer Brings Enjoyment to the World,” Gambrinus’ world-class beers, imaginative marketing and disciplined field sales team grows and builds market-leading brands that consumers recognize, share, and enjoy.\n\nThe historic Spoetzl Brewery was founded in 1909 in Shiner, Texas (population 2,069). In the early days, the brewery crafted beer with the old-world tradition and recipes for homesick German and Czech settlers starting a new life in the unforgiving but beautiful plains of Central Texas.\n\nSince then, the Spoetzl Brewery has grown to become the second-largest 100% family-owned craft brewery in the country. The brewery also holds the distinction of being the oldest independently owned and operated brewery in Texas and one of the oldest in America. Shiner Beers are available in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Mexico, but every drop of the award-winning beer is still brewed in Shiner, TX—where it all started over 110 years ago.\n\nThe Trumer Brewery was established in 2004 in Berkeley, California as a sister brewery to the centuries-old Trumer Brauerei in Salzburg, Austria. Brewing in Berkeley allows beer drinkers in the United States to enjoy Trumer Pils the way it was meant to be: fresh. Trumer Pils' quality has been recognized and awarded eighteen Gold Medal wins at the most prestigious international beer competitions and has made Trumer Pils the most awarded craft pilsner in the world.
